Creating The Pendulum Album Art | Behind Immersed: Episode 24

In a stunning fusion of music and visual art, this album’s cover emerges from a mesmerizing creative process that transforms gravity into a conductor and paint into a musical performance. Collaborating with pendulum artist Graham Lynch and cinematographer Michael Fisher, the artist orchestrated a unique album art creation that captures a singular, unrepeatable moment.

In an old industrial factory during a snowy evening, multiple cameras captured the intricate dance of a paint-filled vessel swinging across canvases. The result? A three-dimensional artwork that embodies the album’s cinematic spirit – where the process of creation is as important as the final image. The chosen album cover represents a fleeting instant, a paint-splattered moment that existed only briefly on a black fabric backdrop.

More than just an image, this album art tells a story of artistic improvisation, where gravity performs, the artist guides, and the canvas records a spontaneous musical narrative. It’s a visual representation of the album’s essence – dynamic, unpredictable, and beautifully ephemeral.
