Studio Tour: Inside My Sony 360 Reality Audio Studio | Justin Gray

Head into the world of immersive audio with Sony 360 Reality Audio, a cutting-edge format that transforms music production. In my dedicated studio space, I’ve crafted a sophisticated 13-channel speaker system that creates a breathtaking sonic dome. Unlike traditional setups, this system features nine strategically placed speakers – with three levels of front speakers and two rear surrounds – delivering an unprecedented spatial audio experience.

The magic happens through intelligent routing, where I’ve seamlessly integrated this setup with my existing Atmos and stereo systems. Using an AVID matrix and Dante networking, I can control the entire system from a single workstation, complete with wireless mouse and keyboard. The result? A flexible, ergonomic environment that pushes the boundaries of audio engineering.

My recent work, including spatially remixing Olivia Rodrigo’s “Guts” album, showcases the format’s incredible potential. Sony 360 Reality Audio isn’t just a technology – it’s a revolutionary way of experiencing music, translating complex audio landscapes across soundbars, headphones, and speaker systems.

This isn’t just mixing; it’s creating immersive musical universes.
